Sharmilee Jewellery was born out of a need to channel the creativity of a full time homemaker and mother. Over the years we have found many hobbies that excite us, while some stay we often move on to the next one, adjusting our needs and passions to that of the family but to be able to create art is a passion that has stuck with me for over 20 years now.

Over the years we have found many hobbies that excite us, while some stay we often move on to the next one, adjusting our needs and passions to that of the family but to be able to create art is a passion that has stuck with me for over 20 years now.
Borrowing from the entrepreneurial spirit that fills these times, I have had the opportunity to convert a simple hobby to a service that allows me to share this creativity with you today because for me there is no greater joy than being able to create something with my own hands and then watch others truly enjoy this little creation of mine.

Initially what started as small crochet patterns that belonged nowhere, to little pieces of jewellery made and worn at home, I soon found appreciation that motivated me to put myself out there and that’s when one thing led to another and now I am the proud creator of crocheted earrings, neckpieces, rings, jhumkas, brooches, botua bags, blouse pieces and - the brand of Sharmilee!

My husband, Mr. Satinath Chattopadhyay has been a phenomenal support for my work. I pride myself in getting my supplies from the best sources that are available to me and with his help I am able to procure them in a timely manner. His help with logistics has been a key factor in ensuring that my products can reach customers far and wide safely. His help with some of the crocheting tasks ensures that I can rely on him for certain tasks when I am busy with the more complex patterns in the design.
